Chinese (traditional)- I was eager to respond
to those who did not consult me.
I was anxious to be approached
by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am! Here I am!”
to a nation that did not summon me. - You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’
and rightly so,
for that is what I am. - The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Then he said to all who were with him, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
- The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring the good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to prisoners
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free. - If the world hates you,
be aware that it hated me
before it hated you. - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
If you seek me, you will survive. - Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your kindness. - For whoever finds me finds life
and receives favor from the Lord. - He said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
- When I realized that my foot was slipping,
your kindness, O Lord, raised me up. - Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You place your trust in God.
Trust also in me. - Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood
dwells in me and I dwell in him. - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me
because the Lord has anointed me.
He has sent me to announce good news to the oppressed,
to strengthen the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom to those held in captivity
and release to those who have been imprisoned. - Jesus answered them,
“My teaching is not my own;
rather, it comes from him who sent me.” - I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your precepts. - You will show me the path to life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence
and everlasting delights at your right hand. - Do the things that you have learned, received, and heard from me and that you saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
- Even though I wander
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me. - Anyone who has received my commandments
and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him
and reveal myself to him. - I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything impossible for me to accomplish?
- Come to me, all you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest.
- Never will I forget your commands,
for through them you have given me life. - But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me;
you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. - I keep the Lord always before me,
for with him at my right hand
I will never fall.
I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now waiting for me is the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day—and not only to me, but to all those who have eagerly longed for his appearance.Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory shine over all the earth. Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.Next verse!With image
