Chinese (traditional)- As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
- Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. - Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
- How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
- And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
- Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
- Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
- And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
- A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
- I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
- There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
- In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
- Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
- For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
- But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
- For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
- And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
- Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.Next verse!With image
