  • But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
  • I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
  • For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
  • The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar.
  • Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
  • And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
  • I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass.
  • And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
  • Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
  • For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
  • The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death.

  • Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.
  • The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
    The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
  • Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
  • And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
  • In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin:
but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
  • But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
  • Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
