- In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin:
but he that refraineth his lips is wise. - Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
- For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
- In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
- Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

- Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. - Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.
- Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. - Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
- For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
