- You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you. - By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
- A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion. - In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers. - If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
- And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’
- In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me! - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
- Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them. - For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
- Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.
- Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life. - Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.”
