- O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch. - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

seen by angels,

taken up in glory. - God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
- I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
- Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
- For a thousand years in your sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
or as a watch in the night. - Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
- Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
- For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.

- Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
- Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my pleas for mercy!
