- But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
- And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful.

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - O Lord, you have examined me

You know when I sit and when I stand;
you perceive my thoughts from a distance. - Brethren, you were called to freedom. However, make sure that you do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Instead, serve one another in love.
- Are you not aware that wrongdoers will never inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, extortioners, drunkards, slanderers, swindlers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
- Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
- You have already been cleansed
by the word I have spoken to you. - I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown.
- But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people claimed by God as his own possession,” so that you may proclaim the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- I press on toward the finishing line to win the heavenly prize to which God has called me in Christ Jesus.
- Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.
- And eternal life is this:
to know you,
the only true God,
and the one you have sent,
Jesus Christ. - Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.
- You have given me the shield of your salvation;
your right hand sustains me,
and your goodness makes me great.
You broadened the path beneath me
so that my feet have never stumbled. - I write these things to you
who believe in the name of the Son of God
so that you may know
that you have eternal life. - If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.
- It was for this purpose that he called you through our gospel so that you might come to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For from the beginning
you have heard the message
that we should love one another.
