Sin (2/5)

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for your goodness' sake, O Lord!
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.Repent therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out.
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.Repent and turn from all your transgressions; otherwise iniquity will be your ruin.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?
There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death.
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world.
The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot.The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”Come now, let us argue it out, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances.
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.
If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible. If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment.
When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned. When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Come to a sober and right mind, and sin no more; for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
