  • Since you are my rock and my fortress,
    for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
  • But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
  • Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
  • Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  • Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
    let your glory be over all the earth.
  • To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  • And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
  • I will be glad and rejoice in you;
    I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
  • Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
  • Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
  • The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

  • For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

    all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
    To him belongs eternal praise.
  • I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
    You have given me wisdom and power,
    you have made known to me what we asked of you,
    you have made known to us the dream of the king.
  • Glory to God in the highest heaven,
    and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
  • At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
    “Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
    and naked I will depart.
    The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
    may the name of the Lord be praised.”
  • Help us, God our Savior,
    for the glory of your name;
    deliver us and forgive our sins
    for your name’s sake.
  • I will sing to the Lord all my life;
    I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
  • The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

    let this be known to all the world.

  • While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
  • I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
  • After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
