Chinese (traditional)If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh,
than great treasure with trouble. Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins. For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. With my soul I have desired you in the night.
Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly;
for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice. Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord. Seek Yahweh and his strength.
Seek his face forever more. Those who are in the flesh can’t please God. But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer. See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all. He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth. For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles,
that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’ Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. As the deer pants for the water brooks,
so my soul pants after you, God. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be enough room for.” Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but Yahweh weighs the hearts. Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you.
Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul. Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. Also delight yourself in Yahweh,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh!
My soul will be joyful in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation.
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks. But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints. Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.Next verse! With image
