Chinese (traditional)The hands of the diligent ones shall rule,
but laziness ends in slave labor. Not rendering evil for evil or insult for insult; but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. But godliness with contentment is great gain. Yahweh is my strength and my shield.
My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped.
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices.
With my song I will thank him. The angel answered the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.” Surely he has borne our sickness
and carried our suffering;
yet we considered him plagued,
struck by God, and afflicted. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. A man’s gift makes room for him,
and brings him before great men. Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous. By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. Blessed are those who keep his statutes,
who seek him with their whole heart. I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin. Seek Yahweh and his strength.
Seek his face forever more. Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Praise Yahweh, my soul!
All that is within me, praise his holy name! Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise. If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh. Every word of God is flawless.
He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ. God, you are my God.
I will earnestly seek you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My flesh longs for you,
in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning of braiding your hair, and of wearing gold ornaments or of putting on fine clothing, but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight. Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still. Let everything that has breath praise Yah!
Praise Yah! But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience. Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but joy comes to the promoters of peace.
