Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. Who is a God like unto thee,
that pardoneth iniquity,
and passeth by the transgression
of the remnant of his heritage?
he retaineth not his anger for ever,
because he delighteth in mercy. A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. according as we hope in thee. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
