Chinese (traditional)Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble. Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life;
he who despises his ways will die. For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me! For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised. Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
hold not your peace at my tears!
For I am a sojourner with you,
a guest, like all my fathers. That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous rules. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. God settles the solitary in a home;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.Next verse!With image
