Job - NCB & NRSV

One who despairs should have the support of his friends even if he has forsaken the fear of the Almighty.Those who withhold kindness from a friend forsake the fear of the Almighty.
But I know that my Redeemer lives, and that at the end he will stand upon the dust.For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that at the last he will stand upon the earth.
I have not strayed from the commandments of his lips; I have treasured in my heart the words of his mouth.I have not departed from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured in my bosom the words of his mouth.
And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established; I have followed his way and never turned aside.But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I shall come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.
But the Almighty we cannot find; he is unequaled in power and judgment, and in his righteousness he will not violate justice.The Almighty —we cannot find him; he is great in power and justice, and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said: “Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”Then Job arose, tore his robe, shaved his head, and fell on the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look with desire upon a virgin.I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look upon a virgin?
Blessed is the man whom God reproves. Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.How happy is the one whom God reproves; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
Thereupon the Lord restored the prosperity of Job after he had prayed for his friends, and he enriched him with twice as much as he had possessed before.And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had prayed for his friends; and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
