A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. | A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. |
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose. | Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. |
Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established. | Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. |
There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. | There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. |

Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease! | Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. |

This also comes from the Lord of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. | This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working. |
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. | But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. |
Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. | Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. |
Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. | Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. |
