  • Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

  • You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
  • The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

    and high praise was on my tongue.
  • All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
  • Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
  • You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
