You want something and do not have it; so you commit murder. And you covet something and cannot obtain it; so you engage in disputes and conflicts. You do not have, because you do not ask.You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch.Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness; answer me in your righteousness.Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.

So we fasted and petitioned our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.
This poor soul cried, and was heard by the Lord, and was saved from every trouble.In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.
Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had prayed for his friends; and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!
Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.
While Peter was kept in prison, the church prayed fervently to God for him.But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.
When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.
Turn back, and say to Hezekiah prince of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of your ancestor David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; indeed, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord.’
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; do not forget the oppressed.Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless!
To you, O God of my ancestors, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and power, and have now revealed to me what we asked of you, for you have revealed to us what the king ordered.I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength. You have told me what we asked of you and revealed to us what the king demanded.

Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
