- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - For Yahweh loves justice,
and doesn’t forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - Even to old age I am he,
and even to gray hairs I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear.
Yes, I will carry, and will deliver. - Let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.
- Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. - But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
- In all hard work there is profit,
but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty. - For Yahweh’s word is right.
All his work is done in faithfulness. - You who love Yahweh, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of his saints.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up. - For your great loving kindness reaches to the heavens,
and your truth to the skies. - “For the mountains may depart,
and the hills be removed,
but my loving kindness will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will not be removed,”
says Yahweh who has mercy on you. - The Rock: his work is perfect,
for all his ways are just.
A God of faithfulness who does no wrong,
just and right is he. - Let your eyes look straight ahead.
Fix your gaze directly before you. - Therefore tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “None of my words will be deferred any more, but the word which I speak will be performed,” says the Lord Yahweh.’
- He will cover you with his feathers.
Under his wings you will take refuge.
His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. - For who is God, except Yahweh?
Who is a rock, besides our God? - Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh.
Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. - The grass withers,
the flower fades;
but the word of our God stands forever. - Yahweh is righteous in all his ways,
and gracious in all his works.
