- When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.
- All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
- So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
- To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
to the blameless you show yourself blameless. - But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
- But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.Next verse!With image
