- He gives power to the faint,
and strengthens the powerless. - For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
- Fine speech is not becoming to a fool;
still less is false speech to a ruler. - A gossip goes about telling secrets,
but one who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a confidence. - The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech,

- Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
- By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,

taken up in glory. - Also that the women should dress themselves modestly and decently in suitable clothing, not with their hair braided, or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes, but with good works, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.
- How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
- A friend loves at all times,
and kinsfolk are born to share adversity. - But you, O Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures to all generations. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who brings good news,
who announces salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - Do not adorn yourselves outwardly by braiding your hair, and by wearing gold ornaments or fine clothing; rather, let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God's sight.
- Seek the Lord and his strength,
seek his presence continually. - Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
- Until a spirit from on high is poured out on us,
and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.
