- And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

let your glory shine over all the earth. - For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so too, through Christ, do we receive our consolation.
- Seek good and not evil,
so that you may live.
Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you
as you claim he is. - And every day, both in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming Jesus as the Christ.
- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory shine over all the earth. - And if we know that he hears us
in regard to whatever we ask him,
we may be sure
that all we ask of him will be ours. - Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill them.
- Jesus said,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” - Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace.
- In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself.
- However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
- Remain sober and alert, for your enemy the devil is on the prowl like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made.
