- Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
- Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the best part of everything you produce. - The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to him. - But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
- Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.
- This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed. I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions.
- Mark out a straight path for your feet;
stay on the safe path. - He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.
- Some people are always greedy for more,
but the godly love to give! - For the word of the Lord holds true,
and we can trust everything he does. - For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
- Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. - For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.
- The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.
- Work brings profit,
but mere talk leads to poverty! - The righteous person faces many troubles,
but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. - There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
- God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.
- The very essence of your words is truth;
all your just regulations will stand forever. - But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.
- God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him. - But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
