- The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble. - Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
- Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. - Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

- For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
- I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
- For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- For thus saith the high and lofty One
that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
- The vine is dried up,
and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree,
the palm tree also,
and the apple tree,
even all the trees of the field, are withered:
because joy is withered away
from the sons of men. - Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
- Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
- And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
- And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
