- See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all.
- For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
- Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
- No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- And though one might prevail against another, two will withstand one. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
- I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
- When one will not listen to the law,
even one's prayers are an abomination. - And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one. - For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
- For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
- Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
- The sum of your word is truth;
and every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever. - And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one thing has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you; all have come to pass for you, not one of them has failed.
- A gossip goes about telling secrets,
but one who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a confidence. - There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
- For he will repay according to each one's deeds.
- And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for you.
- For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Jesus answered, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.”
