Chinese (traditional)- For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
- House and riches are the inheritance of fathers:
and a prudent wife is from the Lord. - It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness. - Thou art all fair, my love;
there is no spot in thee. - For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
- Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
- The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind:
the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down:
the Lord loveth the righteous. - Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
- The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. - Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee. - And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
- For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
- Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
- He is the Rock, his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. - Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
- Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. - There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. - For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
- Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.
- For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
- For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
- But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
