- He replied, “What is impossible for men is possible for God.”
- Let those who are wise understand these words,
and let the prudent acknowledge them.
For straight are the ways of the Lord;
the upright walk in them,
but sinners stumble. - That is why you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, and they devote themselves to this service.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
- As a result, you are no longer strangers and foreigners. Rather, you are fellow citizens of the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
- Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing.
- The love of the Lord is never exhausted,
nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end.
They are renewed every morning;
his faithfulness never ceases. - If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
- For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.
- You are a place of refuge for me;
you preserve me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah - Because in my eyes you are precious,
because you are honored and I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you
and nations in return for your life. - Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar,
praise and exalt and glorify
the King of heaven.
For all of his works are right,
and all of his ways are just.
Also, he is able to humble
all those who follow the path of pride. - Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
- Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and utter all kinds of calumnies against you for my sake.
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
- Then Jesus said to him,
“You have come to believe
because you have seen me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have come to believe.” - I, I alone, am the one who comforts you.
Why then do you fear mortal men who must die,
human beings who must perish like grass? - I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever abides in me, and I in him,
will bear much fruit.
Apart from me you can do nothing. - Plans miscarry when counsel is lacking,
but they succeed when there are many counselors. - Beloved,
do not trust every spirit,
but test the spirits
to see whether they are from God.
For many false prophets
have gone out into the world. - Nothing gives me greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
- Banish grief from your heart
and ignore the sufferings of your body,
for youth and the prime of life are fleeting. - “But you,” he said to them, “who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
- Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.
