- Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me. - No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

a stranger, as all my ancestors were. - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
- The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

- Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—
and how good is a timely word! - And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
- Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
- About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
- Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
- Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
