- A generous person will be prosperous,
And one who gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty. - One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple. - Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I am going to the Father.
- Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap.
- Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?
- Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
- And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
- And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to celebrate the Sabbath day.
- Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.
- And you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.
- And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
- And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.”
- “And I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord,” declares the Lord God, “when I show Myself holy among you in their sight.”
- For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well. - Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!
- “Come now, and let us debate your case,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They shall become as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool.” - And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
- God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You;
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water. - Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it.
- This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success.
- Hate evil, you who love the Lord,
Who watches over the souls of His godly ones;
He saves them from the hand of the wicked. - We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater.
