- And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
- Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
- For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?
- Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
- Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
- The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- The Almighty—we cannot find Him;
He is exalted in power
And He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness. - Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
- One who loves discipline loves knowledge,
But one who hates rebuke is stupid. - However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore,
And our pains that He carried;
Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted,
Struck down by God, and humiliated. - Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
- For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- The vine has dried up
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree,
All the trees of the field have dried up.
Indeed, joy has dried up
From the sons of mankind. - But from the beginning of creation, God created them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother, and the two shall become one flesh; so they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.
- Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
- You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
- For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- For I give plenty of water to the weary ones, and refresh everyone who languishes.
- As in water a face reflects the face,
So the heart of a person reflects the person. - Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
- He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
- For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
- Do not envy a violent person,
And do not choose any of his ways.
For the devious are an abomination to the Lord;
But He is intimate with the upright. - And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.
- Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
