- Behold, I am coming soon, and I will bring with me my reward to repay everyone as his deeds deserve.

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
a name that means “God is with us.” - I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything impossible for me to accomplish?

before the foundation of the world. - But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,

I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes. - The proud man’s heart is not upright,
but the righteous man will live
because of his faith. - Blessed is the man whom God reproves.
Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - How wonderful and delightful it is
for brothers to live together in unity. - A word is not even on my tongue
and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it. - Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the world.
- Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
- While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud cast a shadow over them. Then a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
- The Lord God said, “Behold, man has become like one of us, for he has knowledge of that which is good and that which is evil. Now, we must prevent him from reaching out and taking the fruit of the tree of life lest he eat it and live forever.” The Lord God cast him out of the Garden of Eden; henceforth he was to labor tilling the soil from which he had come.
- But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people.”
