Believe and receive (3/4)

  • And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
  • I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
  • Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
  • And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”
  • Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
  • For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
  • Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
  • But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
  • For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
  • Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
  • Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
  • For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
  • I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.
  • And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
  • Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
  • But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.
  • Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
  • For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
  • Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
  • Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
  • If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.
