Chinese (traditional)- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. - The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
- Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
- Sin is not ended by multiplying words,
but the prudent hold their tongues. - For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
- Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. - Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil,
but those who promote peace have joy. - But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream! - It is to one’s honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. - Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
- Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - The lips of the righteous know what finds favor,
but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse. - But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you. - Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness. - See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness. - Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
- My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
