It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. | A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. |

As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. | I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. |

A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! | A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! |
The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him. | The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. |
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy. | Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. |
From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way. | Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. |
