- Rescue me, O Lord, from liars
and from all deceitful people. - And don’t let us yield to temptation,

I will carry you along and save you. - The righteous person faces many troubles,
but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. - But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

snatching them from the door of death. - With their words, the godless destroy their friends,
but knowledge will rescue the righteous. - “Listen,” he said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die. Then they will hand him over to the Romans to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”

He protects the lives of his godly people

For my salvation comes from the Lord alone. - It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.
- I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.
