- As in water a face reflects the face,
So the heart of a person reflects the person. - And like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.
- Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life. - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- My son, pay attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
They are not to escape from your sight;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- My son, do not forget my teaching,
But have your heart comply with my commandments;
For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you. - Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.

Your walls are continually before Me. - You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
- Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
- Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart. - Why are you in despair, my soul?
And why are you restless within me?
Wait for God, for I will again praise Him
For the help of His presence, my God. - What is desirable in a person is his kindness,
And it is better to be a poor person than a liar. - I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
- Create in me a clean heart, God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me. - If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
- For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
- I will give thanks to You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments. - So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. - The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver,
The heart of the wicked is worth little. - A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones. - The wise of heart will receive commands,
But a babbling fool will come to ruin. - Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty,
But humility goes before honor. - Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down,
But a good word makes it glad.
