Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires.
But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction.However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.Hence, I advise you to be guided by the Spirit, so that you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires.
It is not this way among you, but whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant, and whoever desires to be first among you shall be your slave.This must not be so with you. Instead, whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your servant.
For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want.
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.You are from your father, the devil, and you choose to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he does not abide by the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks in accord with his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
For, “The one who desires life, to love and see good days, Must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it.”For: “If anyone wishes to love life and to experience good days, he must restrain his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.”
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly.
The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever.And the world with all its enticements is passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.And so you should put to death everything in your nature that is earthly: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desires, and greed (which is idolatry).
And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”Then he said to all who were with him, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Through these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust.By these he has given us his precious promises, great beyond all price, so that through them you may escape from the corruption with which evil desires have infected the world and thereby may come to share in the divine nature.
May He grant you your heart’s desire And fulfill your whole plan!May he give you your heart’s desire and grant you success in all your plans.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.For everything that is in the world— the concupiscence of the flesh, the concupiscence of the eyes, and the pride of life— comes not from the Father but from the world.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.For where your treasure is, there will your heart also be.
What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.A man’s attraction is his kindness; it is far better to be poor than to be a liar.
For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.Those who live according to the flesh fix their attention on the things of the flesh, while those who live according to the Spirit set their thoughts on spiritual things.
That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.For they said to you, “In the final age there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly passions.” It is these people who create divisions, who follow their natural instincts and do not possess the Spirit.
Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of the gospel will save it.
And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”Then he sat down, summoned the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he must become the last of all and the servant of all.”

Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls.As we proceed in the path of your judgments, we wait for you, O Lord; your name and your renown are all that our heart desires.
