    I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me.
    I said, ‘Here am I, here am I,’
    To a nation which did not call on My name.
  • If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
  • And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
  • For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
  • Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
  • Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
  • I did not eat any tasty food, nor did meat or wine enter my mouth, nor did I use any ointment at all until the entire three weeks were completed.
  • For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
  • If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

  • But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? • When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it.
  • For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”

    And I did not hide my guilt;
    I said, “I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord”;
