| The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. | The face of the Lord is against evildoers, To eliminate the memory of them from the earth. |
| Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord. | So you shall keep My commandments, and do them; I am the Lord. |

| Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. | Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. |
| And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. | Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. | If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. | If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. |
| I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. | I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly. |
| I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. | I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. |
| Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. | Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of mankind among them are fully given to do evil. |

| And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? | Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? |
| For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. | For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. |
| As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. | So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. |

| In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. | In You, Lord, I have taken refuge; Let me never be put to shame; In Your righteousness rescue me. |
| I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. | I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And I wait for His word. |
| Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince. | Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool, Much less are lying lips to a prince. |
