my heart will not succumb to fear;

through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me. - However, God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit explores everything, even the depths of God.

and there is no fruit on the vines,

I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation. - One who despairs should have the support of his friends
