- So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
- For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
- See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
- You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
- Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
- And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
- Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
- For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
- Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
- And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you.
- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all. - As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return,
To go as he came;
And he shall take nothing from his labor
Which he may carry away in his hand. - Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
- For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
- And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
- The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
- He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
- As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
- A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
- Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You render to each one according to his work. - So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
