FOR IT IS GOD WHO WORKS IN YOU TO AND WILL (4/4)

Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
O Lord, you grant peace to those who are steadfast because of their trust in you.Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
Be strong and courageous in your hearts, all you who place your hope in the Lord.Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
After you have suffered for a brief period, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and support you.But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Everyone who sins comes from the devil, for the devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for this very purpose: to destroy the work of the devil. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the one who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
It is rash to pledge a sacred gift, or to make a vow and then have second thoughts. It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.
It is honorable to avoid strife, but every fool is quarrelsome. It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
I am pulled in opposite directions. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better, but, it is a more urgent need for you that I remain in the body. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
If you refrain from traveling on the Sabbath and from engaging in your own interests on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a day of joy and regard the Lord’s holy day as honorable, if you honor it by not going your own way, serving your own interests, or attending to your own affairs; then you will find true happiness in the Lord, and I will enable you to ride upon the heights of the earth. I will nourish you with the heritage of your father Jacob, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, what can be done to make it salty once again? It is no longer good for anything, and thus it is cast out and trampled underfoot.Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
But God is rich in his mercy, and because he had such great love for us, he brought us to life with Christ when we were already dead through sin—it is by grace that you have been saved. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).

Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it.Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
