- And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
- But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
- It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity! - He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;
He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend. - And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. - For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
- But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
- I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works. - Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
- Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
- Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- You are all fair, my love,
And there is no spot in you. - But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
- Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. - Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
- He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
- But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
- It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy,
And afterward to reconsider his vows.
