- So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
- So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
- Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.
- He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
- We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.
- This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
- Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.
- But God is my helper.
The Lord keeps me alive! - Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.
- Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
- For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
- Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
- Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! - The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.
- Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
Praise him forever! - Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
- After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.”
- So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
- My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever. - Christ is also the head of the church,
which is his body.
He is the beginning,
supreme over all who rise from the dead.
So he is first in everything. - Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
- But consider the joy of those corrected by God!
Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin. - For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.
- For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
- But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. The Lord keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.Next verse! With image
