- Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
- Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.
- Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Father of orphans and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation. - If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
- In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
- Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
- No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side.
