- Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. - For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in truth. - I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have given me life. - And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
- For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
- For so the Lord has commanded us:
‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles,
That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
- For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
- Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord! - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
- But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. - Not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
- If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
- And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you.
- The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble. - Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life. - Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. - For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined. - Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life. - Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
- Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
