- Seek the Lord while he may be found,
call upon him while he is near. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out. - The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.”
- The Lord is with you, while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask,
to be found by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am, here I am,”
to a nation that did not call on my name. - Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
- For the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true.
- Who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
as something to be exploited,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death—
even death on a cross. - Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
- By insolence the heedless make strife,
but wisdom is with those who take advice. - So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
- Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens,
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. - Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will also fast as you do. After that I will go to the king, though it is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.
- Therefore let us go on toward perfection, leaving behind the basic teaching about Christ, and not laying again the foundation: repentance from dead works and faith toward God, instruction about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- Happy are those who find wisdom,
and those who get understanding. - There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing festivals, new moons, or sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever. - Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
- And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.
- Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble. For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.
- Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.Next verse!With image
