- By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. - Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
