- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high,
and the wilderness be a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. - God shall bless us;
and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. - But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
- The memory of the just is blessed:
but the name of the wicked shall rot. - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
- And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
- And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
- Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
- The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. - Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels,
preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world,
received up into glory.The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
