| For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want. | For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. |
| A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season. | A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! |
