God is strength (4/4)

  • This God—his way is perfect;
    the word of the Lord proves true;
    he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
  • Better is the little that the righteous has
    than the abundance of many wicked.
    For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
    but the Lord upholds the righteous.
  • To you, O God of my fathers,
    I give thanks and praise,
    for you have given me wisdom and might,
    and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
    for you have made known to us the king's matter.
  • The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
    the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
  • Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
  • All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).
  • So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”
  • Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
  • Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
  • For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
  • And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
  • There is none holy like the Lord:
    for there is none besides you;
    there is no rock like our God.
  • But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
  • But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
  • Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
  • My soul thirsts for God,
    for the living God.
    When shall I come and appear before God?
  • Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
  • And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
  • The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
  • Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
  • No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
  • That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
  • Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
  • Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
  • Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Bible verse of the day

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
